Step 1: Admit that you are a sinner.
For all have sinned, and come short of the
glory of God; (Romans 3:23)
Step 2: Admit that the penalty for your sin is to go to hell.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of
God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Romans 6:23)
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake
of fire. (Revelation 20:14-15)
But the fearful,
and unbelieving, and the abominable,
and murderers, and whoremongers, and
sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars,
shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:
which is the second death.
(Revelation
21:8)
Step 3: Believe that Jesus died and went to hell in our place so that we could go to heaven!
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
(Romans 5:8)
And she shall
bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his
name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled
which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being
interpreted is, God with us.
(Matthew
1:21-23)
Then delivered
he him therefore unto them to be
crucified. And they took Jesus,
and led him away.
( John 19:16)
He seeing this
before spake of the resurrection of
Christ, that his soul was not left
in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
(Acts 2:31)
Step 4: Believe
that Jesus is God, that he rose from the dead and ask him to take you to
heaven.
That if thou
shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord
Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved.
(Romans 10:9)
For whosoever
shall call upon the name of the Lord
shall be saved.
(Roman 10:13)
Step 5: Once Saved, Always Saved!
For God so loved
the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life.
(John 3:16)
And I give unto
them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man
pluck them out of my hand.
(John 10:28)
